Parkville Begins
In the early days, Colonel George S. Park – a veteran of the Texas War of Independence, entrepreneur, and land speculator – purchased this land. In doing so, he founded the town that would bear his name: Parkville.

Meet Jason & Kathy
The Heart Behind The House
Our Story | Told Simply
Jason and Kathy fell in love with Parkville nearly 20 years ago during their first visit to this charming riverfront town.
From the start, their goal was simple: to live, work, and play in beautiful Parkville, Missouri. Over time, they’ve done exactly that.
Today, at the Main Street Inn, they enjoy welcoming guests from near and far to enjoy the warmth and charm of their historic 1885 home.
Jason has a background in architecture and design. Today, he focuses on landscape photography, and his work can be found at @jasonayersphotography. Along the way he’s become the mastermind behind most renovation projects around the Inn, armed with a tool belt, a sketchpad, and zero fear of a YouTube tutorial.
Kathy has a background in art and architecture. As a result, she brings her eye for detail, creative spirit, and love of hosting to everything she does at the Inn. More often than not, she’s in her element when the house is buzzing with good people, good conversation and lots of laughter.
Together, they’ve climbed more than a few Colorado 14ers and even trekked to Everest Base Camp – though Kathy insists she was just promised snacks and a good view. Whether out on the trail or relaxing on the front porch with a book and a coffee, they’re always chasing beauty, connection, and a good story.
